Bill McLane, featured artist
A classical plein air artist -
oils and acrylics, Landscapes, Seascapes and Still lifes, Bill is the
featured artist at the Clarksburg Wine Company tasting room. Mr. McLane studied the classical plein air techniques in Germany, and has spent most
of his painting life in the Northeast, before relocating to California last
year to be with his childhood sweetheart. His works are evocative of the
classical California plein air artists of the early part of the 20th century
such as William Wendt, Carl Borg and Percy Gray.
